Court and Police Station Representation Throughout Scotland

It is critical to seek legal guidance before being interviewed. Do not make the mistake of believing that you can handle it yourself. We are happy to provide immediate and urgent advice.

It is critical that you understand your legal rights to quiet, legal guidance, and the limitations of police authorities.

Our solicitors and solicitor advocates often appear in Sheriff Courts across Scotland, as well as the High Court if necessary. We often represent clients at Glasgow Sheriff Court, Paisley Sheriff Court, Hamilton Sheriff Court, East Kilbride Sheriff Court, and other courts across Scotland.

Our team includes solicitors and Solicitor Advocates. As attorney advocates, we have audience rights in the High Court and can represent you in Sheriff and Jury trials, trials in the High Court of Justice and the Court of Criminal Appeal (known as’solemn trials’), and appeals against conviction and sentence.

Our team consists of brilliant legal thinkers that diligently prepare for each trial to ensure your success. We have experience handling complex matters with vast volumes of evidence and educating expert witnesses.

If you have been let down by another solicitor, we can handle your appeal. We expertise in resolving appeals in which the defence was not adequately conducted in the first instance.

If you have been held by police, you are entitled to legal representation. We provide a 24-hour service in respect to police station custody and will visit police stations to advise you 365 days a year.

Police Station Interviews – Scotland’s Expert Criminal Defence Lawyers

You have the right to talk with a solicitor before any police interview, regardless of the allegation or crime, such as domestic assault, breach of the peace, or any other offence. You have the right to have a solicitor present during any police interview.

Unlike other law offices, if you ask for us or phone us at any time of day or night, we will arrange to meet, speak with, or accompany you to any police interview.

While there are rare exceptions, such as in traffic situations, you have the right to remain silent or make no statement in 99 percent of cases. You are not obligated to “give your side of the story” or tell the cops anything. You might simply state “no comment”. It is up to the Police, and ultimately the Crown, to prove any claims they make against you.

In our experience, when people waive their right to silence, they frequently discover that their version of events has not been accepted, but the information they provided in presenting that version has been used against them, and frequently speaking to the police can prejudice your case.

Our advise to clients who have been arrested or detained in police custody is to insist on a consultation and legal advice from a solicitor before being questioned by police, and for our solicitors to accompany you to any police interrogation if you request it.

We take pride in battling for our clients and insist on a strong defence.Police Station Interviews.
